LG LP0814WNR Review – Stacks Up Well Against the Competition
LG is certainly one of the leading names in home air conditioners. They are responsible for creating innumerable products such as thermostats and fans. There is very little surprise that the company has decided to release their own portable air conditioner. With this in mind, I just had to test this one out. I purchased the LG LP0814WNR and here are the results of my experimentation.
Before you jump into my assessment, you should take the time to familiarize yourself with the specifications of the product. This will give you a better understanding of the product’s power, size and overall performance.

By checking out the information above, you should easily get an idea of whether or not the unit will suffice your needs and preferences. Below you will get a brief breakdown of the pros and cons of this LG air conditioner.
I was aware of the BTUs and specifications before I purchased this portable air conditioner. You should also take these specifications into account so that you will know exactly what to expect from the unit. The air conditioner does an excellent job cooling a 300 square foot living space. I waited until the room’s temperature was up in the 80’s before I turned the unit on. I began timing immediately and within 30 minutes the temperature was reading at 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
Less Energy Usage
The 24-hour timer is absolutely great. You can easily preprogram the unit and after the time lapse it will completely shut off. I actually found the timer very beneficial. My energy bill was decreased by $10, which I thought was fabulous. If you are a deep sleeper like me you will also find the 24-hour timer very helpful.
The easy roll caster wheels allow you to take this unit across different rooms, through a wide range of surfaces — not just tiles and marble floors. Though I didn’t test this unit long enough to test the longevity of the wheels in a fair way, many users suggested that they are indeed pretty sturdy and can take a bit of occasional mishandling, and still not get damaged.
No Significant Con
To be honest, LG could have done a just a little bit better with this portable air conditioner’s noise production department. Despite the brand’s promise that the unit would operate on a low sound intensity, this was not always the case as it was fairly audible in a silent atmosphere.
LG’s portable AC definitely offers some nice features and it will work very well for most consumers. I had a similar experience even when I reviewed some other models manufactured by LG. I was satisfied with the product overall, and it doesn’t have any significant negative point.
