NewAir AC-14100H

I received the NewAir 14100H to test and review, so here it goes. You might already be familiar of NewAir’s brand of portable ACs, as they sell quite well here in the States. I waited until my home thermostat was reading well up into the 80’s, before I switched the unit on. I always do this, because I do not think that it would be fair to you if I did not put the air conditioner to its limit for the test. I was totally surprised with this portable air conditioner’s design, which would allow it to fit into any home, without feeling too bulky or heavy.

According to US Energy Information Administration, due to increasing temperatures in summer across US as a result of global warming, the sales of air conditioning units of all kinds have been on a massive rise since 2009. And as the weather gets hotter, you need more powerful ACs to cool the same volume of air in your room. As you can already judge from its specifications, the 14,000 BTUs cooling power is more than most portable air conditioners available in the market. In my experience, this unit cooled rooms as large as 600-700 square-feet with ease, even in extreme conditions.

This is great for individuals that reside in a location, where the climate is forever more changing or a 4-season country.

Energy Efficient Components

By cooling the compressor with the condensation collection the air conditioner will be able to run more in a more energy efficient way. This will definitely help you save big on your energy bill, which is important in today’s economy. The heat pump automation will also require less energy to operate and keep your home warm, during the winter months.

Convenient Operation

The remote control will allow you to adjust the settings, switch the unit on/off, and customize your breeze right from your recliner or bed. Nothing says convenience like a remote, but the 12-hour timer will also help cut energy wastes, since it will automatically shut it off, after this time has expired.

If you need a quiet sleeping or relaxing environment, you may be disappointed with this portable unit because it is operates quite loudly. You may also find it impossible to watch TV while the unit is running in the same room.
